Mollys Favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies

What You Need:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temp.

2 Tablespoons granulated sugar

2 Tablespoons sugar in the raw (if you don’t have this you can just use granulated or brown sugar)

3/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons packed light or dark brown sugar

1 large egg at room temp.

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

Heaping 1/4 teaspoon fine sea

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

1 dark chocolate with hazelnuts bar (I like the Lindt brand) cut into chunks

Maybe 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips (I like large chocolate chips)

Flaky sea salt, to finish

What You Do:

Heat oven to 360°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicon baking mat. Cream the butter and sugars together with an electric mixer until very light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Add egg and vanilla, beating until incorporated. Beat in baking soda, cinnamon and salt fine sea salt until combined. Add all the flour on a low speed until just mixed. The dough will be crumbly. Fold in the chocolate chunks and chips with spatula.

Using a cookie scoop, scoop dough into even mounds and place onto baking sheet. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes, until golden on the outside but still very gooey and soft inside. Out of the oven, let rest on baking sheet out of the for 5 minutes before transferring a cooling rack. Sprinkle each with a few flakes of sea salt to finish! Makes about 14 cookies so you may wanna double it :)
